Some Fun Candy Stats
Swedish candy (godis) is having a moment in America, but in Sweden it’s a way of life. The tradition is called lösgodis, pick-and-mix: walls of loose candy sold by weight, from sour skulls and soft foam ovals to salty licorice and milk chocolate bars. Every Saturday, Swedish families fill a paper bag with their favorites, a ritual known as lördagsgodis, “Saturday candy.”
SwedishCandy.io tracks Swedish candy prices across top online stores in the US, so you can compare before you buy. Browse sour Swedish candy, sweet Swedish candy, Swedish chocolate, salty licorice, BUBS candy, marshmallow and more, with live prices per pound shown side by side and today’s deals in one place.
We don’t sell candy ourselves. When you buy through a link on our site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, that’s what keeps the price tracking free.
Hej! I’m Just a Swede Who Knows
Way Too Much About Candy
I’m Niclas, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, and the founder of SwedishCandy.io. This site is owned and operated by my company Leadonist, a digital company based in Miami.
When #swedishcandy blew up on TikTok, I knew somebody had to do something. As a Swede, I grew up with this stuff: foamy sour skulls, chewy sweet-and-sour gummies, salty licorice that makes Americans pull the funniest faces. It’s all I’ve ever known. And watching people fall in love with Swedish Candy while struggling to figure out where to actually buy it? That bothered me.
So I built SwedishCandy.io, a price comparison site for Swedish candy in the US. We track prices, deals, and promo codes across all the top online stores so you can stop opening fifteen tabs and start snacking. Whether you’re chasing the perfect sour mix or curious about that foam texture everyone keeps talking about, we make it really easy to find what you’re after at the best price.
I’m proud to bring a little piece of “lördagsgodis”, that’s Saturday candy, a real Swedish tradition where you fill a paper bag with pick-and-mix every week, to candy lovers across the US.

Frequently Asked Questions
Swedish candy, or godis, is best known for lösgodis: pick-and-mix candy sold loose by weight. Popular styles include sour gummies, soft foam candies like BUBS skulls and ovals, salty licorice, and milk chocolate bars from brands like Marabou and Cloetta. In Sweden, filling a bag with your own mix every Saturday (lördagsgodis) is a long-standing tradition.
Several online stores ship Swedish candy across the US, including Mums Candy, SwedishCandy.com, and Swedish Candy Land. SwedishCandy.io compares their prices side by side so you can see the price per pound at each store before you order.
Imported Swedish candy costs more in the US mainly because of international shipping, import fees, and smaller distribution volumes. A bag that costs a couple of dollars in Sweden can retail for several times that once it crosses the Atlantic. Comparing the price per pound across stores is the simplest way to avoid overpaying.
Lördagsgodis means “Saturday candy”: the Swedish tradition of buying a bag of pick-and-mix candy once a week, typically on Saturdays. The habit dates back to the 1950s, when Swedish authorities encouraged limiting candy to one day a week, and it remains a beloved part of Swedish family life.
Yes. Swedish Fish were created by the Swedish company Malaco in the late 1950s for the North American market: in Sweden they’re known as pastellfiskar. Today they’re made by Mondelez, and the original flavor was lingonberry.
We’re a comparison site, not a store. We track candy prices, deals, and discounts across US online retailers and show them side by side, including the price per pound so you can compare different bag sizes fairly. If you buy through a link on our site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
